Introducing Living with Cancer
For Beyond the Diagnosis, I wanted to support an organisation whose work is meaningful to the cancer community itself. That’s why I chose to support Living with Cancer SA.
Living with Cancer SA is South Africa’s first patient-led cancer registry. It is a platform where people can capture, track and share their cancer journey, creating a community where people affected by cancer can connect and be a beacon of hope for one another.
Through Beyond the Diagnosis, I’ll be raising awareness and fundraising to support Living with Cancer SA and their mission. I chose them because I believe that the voices and experiences of people living with cancer deserve to be heard, shared and valued – Cancer affects so many people beyond the diagnosis itself — families, friends and especially children and teenagers. I want Beyond the Diagnosis to help remind people that they’re not alone and that there is a community around them.
